The Role The RCM Manager is responsible for the overall management of accounts receivables and the development of strategies to bill customers, process payments, and improve cash flow. You will provide strategic oversight for revenue-related projects, mentor staff, and ensure our financial operations exceed corporate goals. This is a Hybrid position with three days a week in the office and two days a week remote. Primary Responsibilities Develop and maintain controls and procedures to ensure accurate accounts receivable balances and timely collections. Analyze trends in AR days and cash collections to determine process inefficiencies and implement corrective action plans. Provide strategic oversight for programs in medical services, health information technology, and healthcare reform. Manage and prepare accounts receivable reconciliations and follow up on payment discrepancies. Supervise at least one employee in the Accounting Department, including hiring, training, and performance management. Maintain familiarity with HIPAA requirements and assist with credentialing, paneling, and national provider identifiers. Compare AR balances to the general ledger and ensure month-end billing reports are accurate. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university. 5+ years of finance or accounting experience managing accounts receivable and/or supervising healthcare revenue cycle operations. Valid driver's license and auto insurance. Advanced computer skills, specifically with practice management systems, billing software, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high attention to detail. Preferred Skills and Abilities Ability to read and interpret complex professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Proficiency in calculating figures such as discounts, interest, proportions, and percentages using basic algebra concepts. Strong reasoning ability to solve practical problems in situations with limited standardization. Excellence in presenting information and responding to questions from managers, clients, and the general public.
