full-time Fit Recruiting is partnering with a well-established, growing regional CPA and consulting firm to find an experienced Audit Manager ready to take the next step in their career. This is a great opportunity for a CPA who enjoys more than just the technical side of audit. We're looking for someone who can lead engagements, build strong client relationships, mentor and develop team members, and play an important role in the firm's continued growth.
Requirements:
Active CPA license Bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting or a related field 5-8 years of public accounting experience Experience managing audit and assurance engagements Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and applicable auditing standards Proven ability to manage multiple engagements, deadlines, budgets, and teams Strong leadership and staff-development skills Excellent client relationship and communication skills Strong professional judgment and commitment to quality Proactive, collaborative leadership style
Duties & Responsibilities:
Lead audit, review, compilation, and other assurance engagements from planning through completion Manage and develop key client relationships Provide technical guidance on complex accounting, auditing, and financial reporting matters Oversee engagement budgets, staffing, scheduling, WIP, billing, and profitability Mentor, coach, and develop supervisors, seniors, and staff Ensure engagements meet professional standards and quality expectations Identify opportunities to provide additional value and services to clients Collaborate with other service lines across the firm Participate in business development and community activities Support process improvement and the effective use of technology and AI Contribute to the continued growth of the Audit practice If you're an experienced audit professional seeking an opportunity to lead, grow, and make an impact at a respected regional firm, we'd love to connect.
