The ideal candidate is a Big 4-trained external auditor with 3-6 years of experience who has completed at least three busy seasons and worked on large, complex clients (Fortune 1000, public companies, or large PE-backed entities). This individual has a strong
U.S. GAAP
foundation, is client-facing, and is seeking to transition out of traditional audit engagements into a long-term, project-based advisory/consulting career.
The ideal candidate:
Is burned out on traditional audit, not accounting Wants project variety and strategic exposure Values technical rigor and credibility Is open to a long-term advisory/consulting career Is not looking for a short-term contract or stopgap role These are not required, but increase candidate priority: CPA or CPA-eligible PCAOB or SEC client exposure Experience leading audit teams or acting as In-Charge Exposure to: IPO readiness M&A integration or carve-outs Audit readiness from the client side Job Description Transition From External Audit Into Strategic Advisory Work Professionals with a background in public accounting audit often reach a point where they want broader exposure to business initiatives while continuing to build on their technical accounting expertise. An established professional services organization is seeking experienced auditors to join a client advisory team supporting senior finance leadership at large and mid-sized companies. The role involves working on complex accounting, reporting, and finance transformation initiatives across a variety of industries. This position offers the opportunity to move beyond recurring audit cycles while continuing to leverage a strong accounting foundation in a consulting environment.

  • $100K
  • $120K base
  • 30% guaranteed bonus on top for the first 2 years paid monthly
  • $130K
  • $156K (Base + guaranteed bonus)
  • Bonus for travel + extra hours
