Shipping Auditor Job Description The Shipping Auditor works within the Shipping and Receiving department to verify all incoming and outgoing loads, ensuring accuracy, proper labeling, and compliance with packaging and documentation standards. This role supports efficient warehouse operations by auditing workflows, performing data entry, and maintaining accurate inventory records on a first-shift schedule. Responsibilities Verify all incoming and outgoing loads in the shipping department to ensure accuracy and completeness. Visually inspect orders to be shipped to customers to confirm they meet specifications, labeling requirements, and packaging standards. Audit shipping and receiving workflows to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures. Perform accurate data entry for shipments, receipts, and inventory records using computer systems. Use RF scanners to scan, track, and verify materials and shipments. Support inventory control by auditing counts and reconciling discrepancies when identified. Handle materials and packaging as needed to complete audits and inspections. Collaborate with shipping, receiving, and warehouse team members to resolve issues and maintain accurate documentation. Maintain a high level of attention to detail to prevent shipping errors and ensure order accuracy. Follow all safety guidelines and operational procedures within the warehouse environment. Essential Skills Experience auditing shipping and receiving processes in a warehouse or similar environment. Strong attention to detail when inspecting orders, labels, and packaging. Proficiency in data entry with a focus on accuracy and completeness. Ability to use a computer and Microsoft Office applications. RF scanner experience for tracking and verifying materials and shipments. Familiarity with inventory, shipping and receiving, material handling, and packaging activities. Ability to work effectively on a first-shift schedule, Monday through Friday. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of East Moline, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
