HireNow Staffing is acting as a direct placement partner for this Audit Manager opportunity. We are seeking an experienced public accounting leader who can independently manage audit and review engagements, lead teams, and serve as a trusted advisor to clients. This role requires technical audit depth, strong client communication skills, and a proven track record of stability and ownership in a firm environment.

Key Responsibilities Lead audit and review engagements from planning through final delivery Manage client relationships as a primary point of contact throughout engagements Oversee engagements for both for-profit and nonprofit organizations Supervise, mentor, and review work prepared by senior and junior audit staff Ensure work is completed in accordance with professional standards and firm methodology Partner with leadership on scheduling, staffing, risk areas, and engagement execution Identify issues proactively and guide timely resolution Improve consistency, workflow efficiency, and service quality within the audit practice Support broader firm initiatives as needed Required Qualifications (Highly Important) 6-10+ years of public accounting audit experience Prior experience in an Audit Manager role required Must have held the Audit Manager title for at least 3 years at current firm Strong experience managing audits and reviews for for-profit and nonprofit clients Active CPA license required Proven ability to independently manage multiple engagements and deadlines Strong leadership, communication, and client-facing skills Stable employment history with minimal job changes strongly preferred Ability to work onsite in Lincolnshire, IL Preferred Qualifications (Strongly Valued) Experience in closely held business environments Background in relationship-driven regional or boutique CPA firms Strong mentoring and staff development experience Exposure to advisory-oriented client relationships Process improvement mindset within audit operations Desire for long-term growth and leadership responsibility HireNow Disqualifiers No Audit Manager title experience Less than 3 years in Audit Manager title at current firm No active CPA license Limited nonprofit or for-profit audit exposure Frequent job changes without clear rationale Inability to work fully onsite in Lincolnshire, IL Weak client communication or team leadership skills HireNow Checklist HireNow Staffing is recruiting candidates who meet the following profile: 6-10+ years public accounting audit experience Current or recent Audit Manager with at least 3 years in title Active CPA license Experience with for-profit and nonprofit engagements Proven engagement ownership from planning through completion Strong leadership and client relationship skills Stable career history with progressive growth Able to work onsite in

HireNow Package Base Salary:

$90,000 - $130,000 (depending on experience)

Additional Earnings Potential:

Based on client responsibility and engagement ownership
