ABOUT THE ROLE
The Internal Auditor I performs audits for assigned areas of operations, including financial, operational, and compliance audits, in accordance with acceptable audit standards and within stipulated schedules and budgets. This is a 5 day onsite role in our Rolling Meadows, IL office. Company Overview With roots dating to 1891 and 8,500+ employees, MYR Group Inc. Essential Functions Perform audit engagements and review organizational and functional activities to ensure risks are appropriately identified, associated audit procedures are applied, and related controls are designed and operating to mitigate identified risks Enact thorough and practical knowledge of audit methodology techniques Lead discussions to obtain detailed understanding of business or functional area processes, systems, and applications Assist in the preparation of audit reports Perform annual SOX 404 testing; validate and communicate process controls effectivity Develop and maintain client relationships Assist in the audit review process Serve colleagues and management in a professional and effective manner Pursue professional certifications and related educational requirements Other duties as assigned Regular and predictable attendance Essential functions of this position are to be performed at a Company-designated office or field location Understand and comply with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy and other industry-specific professional and ethical standards
ABOUT YOU
Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in auditing, accounting, finance, risk, or business consulting role(s)
  • Construction experience is a plus
  • Accounting skills are a plus
  • Knowledge/experience with AI is a plus Preferred Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting or business-related discipline
  • Working towards or planning on obtaining a CIA, CPA or other applicable certification Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications

WHAT WE OFFER
Compensation & Benefits Salary $64,000
  • 73,500/year Commensurate with experience, paid weekly. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. MYR Group reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate. Comprehensive benefits package
