Job Summary The Payroll Consultant is responsible for providing the quality, audit and controls related to the Human Resources Master data, timekeeping, and payroll processing with a primary focus on accuracy and compliance. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

Audit/Compliance:

Manage quality and audits related to data entry, data intake, and payroll processing ensure compliance with company policy and legal regulations.

Operational:

Manage banking, perform adjustments in collaboration with accounting, act as direct backup for scheduled and manual payroll processing and payment tracking, as well as support other departmental tasks.

Expertise:

Maintains knowledge of and ensures compliance with all applicable laws, including ACA, ERISA, FLSA, state, and local laws.

Stakeholder Management:

Collaborate with applicable vendors,

Finance, Tax, Business Continuity, Legal, and Internal Audit Reporting:

Manage required reporting as needed for internal and external auditors and government entities, as well as departmental metrics

Process Management:

Collaborate with HRIS regarding system functionality, testing, training, etc.

Documentation:

Responsible for reporting, audit, controls related user documentation

End Customer Support:

Manage the associated process email box and internal customer ticket issues & questions and their resolution.

Continuous Improvement:

Make recommendations for process improvements and manage projects and plans. Required Education and Experience College Degree 4+ years of direct Payroll, HR Service Center, and or Ledger/Accounting/Tax experience or any combination of education which would provide an equivalent background. Recommended Education and Experience FPC or CPP designation, or willingness to pursue, preferred.

Salary Band:

05B This selected candidate will be expected to work hybrid in Indianapolis, IN. The candidate will also be expected to physically return to the office in CA, IN or ME as business needs dictate or for team building and collaboration.
