ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
What You'll Do (Essential Duties & Responsibilities) Spotlight on the
Action:
Perform daily audits across all our lively cost centers—from the buzz of the Gaming floor and Cage to Food & Beverage and Mutuels. Master the
Books:
Draft preliminary revenue journal entries like a pro, keeping everything aligned with GAAP and our chart of accounts. Keep Leadership in the
Loop:
Build and distribute daily financial snapshots that give management the inside scoop on our daily success. Play by the
Rules:
Ensure our team stays top-tier by following property standard operating procedures and internal controls. Investigate the
Mysteries:
Channel your inner detective to research, resolve, and communicate any financial variances.
Stay Organized:
Archival pro? You'll keep our key financial documents safe, sound, and regulatory-ready.
Flex Your Skills:
Take on exciting new tasks and special projects as our business grows!
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
What You Bring to the Table (Required Skills & Abilities)
Age Requirement:
Must be 21 years or older.
Tech Savvy:
Comfortable navigating Microsoft Office tools. Sharp Eye for
Detail:
Highly organized, professional, and great at managing your time.
Great Communicator:
Excellent verbal and written skills to connect smoothly across departments.
Game-Ready:
Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Education:
Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Experience:
2 to 4 years of experience flexing your skills in an accounting or revenue audit setting.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS
Job Type:
Part-Time To crush it in this role, you'll regularly stand, speak, hear, and use your hands/arms, with occasional sitting. You'll need solid vision skills (close/distance, color perception, and peripheral vision) to catch all the details, and occasionally lift or move up to 10 lbs.
