The Reserves Network has partnered with an established CPA firm in Lincoln, Nebraska seeking an experienced Audit CPA to join its growing team. This opportunity is ideal for a public accounting professional who enjoys managing audit engagements, developing client relationships, and mentoring staff but wants a firm where there is room to build a long-term career. You'll take ownership of client engagements, work directly with firm leadership, and have a track to partnership for the right candidate. A hybrid work option is available, providing additional flexibility outside of client and in-office needs. Your New Employer Established CPA firm with more than 100 years of history Strong and diverse client base across Nebraska and the Midwest Collaborative environment with direct access to firm leadership Strong focus on long-term client relationships and personalized service Flexible work environment with a hybrid option available Commitment to professional development and career progression Partner-track opportunity for someone interested in long-term leadership and ownership Why You'll Love This Role $90,000-$120,000 salary Track to partnership and future firm leadership opportunities Hybrid work option available but will need to travel to home base in Lincoln weekly Take ownership of audit engagements and client relationships Opportunity to mentor and develop other accounting professionals Flexible scheduling designed to provide greater work/life balance Opportunity to earn additional paid time off for use during the summer Exposure to clients across a variety of industries Support for professional development and memberships What You'll Do Lead and manage audit engagements from planning through completion Manage multiple client engagements, timelines, and deliverables Develop strong, long-term relationships with clients Review audit workpapers and financial statements for accuracy and compliance Identify accounting, reporting, and internal control issues and communicate recommendations to clients Work directly with clients to understand their operations, accounting processes, and financial reporting needs Provide guidance and technical support throughout audit engagements Supervise, mentor, and develop staff assigned to engagements Collaborate with firm leadership on client service, engagement management, and growth initiatives Assist with other accounting and client advisory needs as appropriate Qualifications Active CPA license required 2-4+ years of audit experience within public accounting Strong understanding of audit procedures, financial statements, and accounting principles Experience managing or taking significant ownership of audit engagements Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines Experience reviewing work and providing direction to junior staff Strong client relationship and communication skills Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving capabilities Ability to communicate technical accounting and audit matters clearly to clients Desire to continue developing leadership responsibilities and client ownership Interest in a long-term partner-track opportunity The Reserves Network is a veteran-founded and family-owned company specializing in connecting exceptional talent with rewarding opportunities.
