Audit & Tax Associate /
Senior Associate Salary:
$70000-90000
Location:
Near Rockville Centre, NY (Long Island) Position Overview Our established CPA firm located near Rockville Centre is seeking a versatile Audit & Tax Associate with 3-5 years of experience in public accounting. The ideal candidate enjoys a hybrid role, balancing the precision of auditing with the technical strategy of tax preparation. You will work closely with a diverse portfolio of clients, providing high-level service and contributing to the firm's continued growth.
Key Responsibilities Audit & Assurance:
Lead or assist in all stages of financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations for small-to-mid-sized businesses.
Tax Preparation:
Prepare complex individual, corporate (S-Corp/C-Corp), and partnership tax returns.
Client Relations:
Act as a primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and gathering necessary financial data.
Compliance:
Ensure all work adheres to GAAP and current tax laws/regulations.
Research:
Perform technical tax and accounting research to solve complex client issues.
Qualifications & Skills Experience:
3-5 years of recent experience in a public accounting firm .
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA license (or active pursuit of CPA) is preferred.
Hybrid Skill Set:
Proven proficiency in both Auditing and Tax Preparation .
Software:
Experience with industry-standard software (e.g., CCH Axcess, ProSystem fx, Drake, or QuickBooks).
Communication:
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial clients.
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
