Full Job Description Now Hiring:
Compliance Auditor (Hybrid Remote•Spokane) Are you detail-oriented, love solving puzzles, and enjoy making sure things are done just right ? We are looking for a Compliance Auditor to join our team — someone who's methodical, curious, and ready to dive into the world of multiemployer benefit plans. As a Compliance Auditor, you will help ensure that employers follow the rules set out in their labor contracts. In this role, you will carefully review payroll records, timesheets, and other documents to confirm that workers' hours are reported accurately. You'll also check that employers are making the correct contributions to employee benefit plans, such as health insurance and retirement funds. Your work plays a vital role in protecting workers' rights and supporting the integrity of the Trust Funds that many employees rely on. If something does not match up—like missing hours or underpaid contributions—you will identify the issue and help resolve it. You do not need to be an expert in labor law to start, but strong attention to detail and basic math skills will help you succeed. What makes this role awesome? Hybrid Remote work for applicants based in the greater Spokane and northern Idaho region. Tech-savvy? Great! You'll use Microsoft Excel and other tools to keep things organized and efficient. People skills matter — you'll be collaborating with employers and Trust professionals, so clear, professional communication is key. Regularly communicate by phone and email. No CPA required — we value eagerness to learn over formal accounting credentials. Travel opportunities — some travel required, mostly around the beautiful Pacific Northwest (with the occasional trip beyond). Who thrives in this role? Someone who's: Organized and thorough Excellent communication skills An adaptive learner who's not afraid to ask questions Comfortable working independently and remotely Excited to grow their career in a supportive, mission-driven environment Preferred background: Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in accounting Strong Excel skills and the ability to pick up new software quickly This isn't your typical accounting job — it's a chance to build a meaningful career while enjoying detailed work, collaboration, and a great team.
