As an IT Auditor Sr or IT Auditor III, you'll evaluate, test, and monitor information technology controls to ensure reliability and integrity of information, compliance with policies and procedures, and achievement of operational goals and objectives. You will contribute to IT audit assurance, advisory services, and data analytics initiatives, while supporting continuous improvement of processes, systems, and risk management practices. Level and scope of responsibility will align to experience; Senior‑level incumbents serve as subject matter experts and provide mentorship to less experienced auditors. Responsibilities / Expectations
(Both levels) Support the internal audit plan by gathering documentation, conducting walkthroughs, developing internal control test plans, performing testing, and completing substantive testing, special reviews, and consulting engagements for IT projects and field operations. Monitor and review audit progress and workpapers using traditional and/or agile methodologies to ensure accurate, timely, and high‑quality completion of audit engagements. Prepare clear and effective audit documentation and reports, validate exceptions and remediation plans with process owners, and follow up through action plan completion. Maintain effective working relationships with IT, cybersecurity, and technology stakeholders to stay informed of system changes, risks, and emerging control considerations. Identify and escalate control gaps, systemic issues, or emerging risks to audit leadership to support risk assessment and audit planning. Perform other duties as assigned. Additional Scope - Senior IT Auditor Serve as a subject matter expert for IT audit assurance, advisory services, and data analytics. Lead or significantly influence audit planning, scoping, and risk assessment activities for assigned engagements. Provide advisory‑level verbal and written recommendations to management on complex process and control improvements, ensuring recommendations are practical and sustainable. Advise audit leadership on current and emerging data‑enabled audit practices, analytics, and technology trends, and champion their adoption. Provide onboarding, mentoring, training, and day‑to‑day guidance to less experienced auditors to support audit quality and professional development.
Education / Years
of Experience IT Auditor Sr.
Required:
High School Diploma or GED and six (6) years of IT, Information Security, IT Audit, or related industry experience
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree, CISA, CIA, or similar certification and ten (10) or more years of relevant experience
IT Auditor III Required:
High School Diploma or GED and four (4) years of IT, Information Security, IT Audit, or related industry experience
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree and progress toward CISA, CIA, or similar certification and six (6) years of relevant experience Other Requirements (Both Levels) Strong analytical, written communication, interpersonal, listening, interviewing, and presentation skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work with limited supervision. Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Word, with the ability to adapt as technology evolves. Strong documentation skills, including process walkthroughs, narratives or flowcharts, and transactional testing. Knowledge of operating systems, networking and virtualization technologies, IT service management, cybersecurity frameworks, and/or programming or scripting. Knowledge of COSO, NIST, or other enterprise risk frameworks. Strong organizational and relationship‑building skills with a demonstrated commitment to safety. Demonstrated ability to leverage technology and data to improve efficiency and audit effectiveness. Work Hours and Work Environment Hybrid work schedule: In Office Monday - Thursday; Remote on Friday Evening, weekend, or holiday work may be required during peak periods. Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Ability to engage in repetitive hand or arm movements. Visual acuity required. #LI-AB1
