V&J Auto Body is a high-volume, OEM-certified collision repair facility based in Lindenhurst, NY, with over 40 years of industry leadership. We specialize in manufacturer-certified repairs, advanced vehicle technology, EV repair, and ADAS-integrated collision work. Our operation is built around process, accountability, technology, and customer experience. We are not a traditional body shop. We operate a fast-paced, highly organized production environment focused on doing repairs the right way, following OEM procedures, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. We are seeking a driven, detail-oriented Estimator to own the repair process from estimate to final billing. This individual will be responsible for creating accurate repair plans, negotiating with insurance companies, managing supplements, and ensuring every repair order is properly documented and profitable. This is a high-impact role best suited for a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment. The ideal candidate takes ownership, communicates effectively with customers and insurance partners, identifies repair opportunities, and consistently delivers accurate estimates while supporting both production efficiency and an exceptional customer experience. Responsibilities Write accurate collision repair estimates using CCC ONE. Negotiate repairs and supplements with insurance companies. Blueprint vehicles and develop complete repair plans. Identify and document all required repairs and OEM procedures. Submit and manage supplements throughout the repair process. Communicate with customers, insurance companies, and internal production teams. Monitor repair progress and resolve issues proactively. Complete final billing and ensure all documentation is accurate before delivery. Maintain high estimate accuracy, cycle time, and gross profit performance. Stay current on OEM repair procedures and industry best practices. Requirements 3 years of collision estimating experience required. Valid NYS Licensed Insurance Appraiser Strong knowledge of collision repair processes and insurance claims. Experience with CCC ONE. Excellent negotiation and communication skills. Highly organized with strong attention to detail. Self-starter who takes ownership and requires minimal supervision. Able to manage multiple repair orders simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Experience with certified/restricted repairs a plus Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary. Performance-based commission on top of salary.
