The Profit Center/branch manager directs the overall activities of the location to serve the customers within the company's target market in an extraordinary manner so that the company's brand name and reputation continue to flourish. This position works to earn an acceptable rate of return on sales after incentive compensation and maintain a healthy cash flow. Additionally, the Profit Center/branch manager invests time and money in personnel development. Reports to :

High school diploma. 3+ years retail / wholesale experience. Ability to effectively communicate, inspect and enforce legal and ethical standards. Extensive, demonstrable knowledge of electrical products and their functions. Working knowledge of distribution business systems, Microsoft Office Products such as Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat required, as well as other general office equipment. Familiar with Eclipse or other automated business operating systems preferred

Conditions vary, but may include construction sites, warehouse, manufacturing, office, or external environments. Leadership Set the standard for the work of the branch in terms of time, hustle, and expectations. Set the example in your branch regarding speech, dress, and respect for others. Effectively communicate, inspect and enforce legal and ethical standards. Provide leadership, motivation, direction and training to branch team to serve customers profitably. Come up with new ways to challenge your employees and yourself to provide the best customer experience. Provide superior customer service. Train and develop inside sales staff to provide world-class answers to customer questions and concerns. Monitor employee performance, completing personnel evaluations as required and making appropriate salary action recommendations. Handle disciplinary actions as needed and follow all company policies and procedures in providing adequate documentation of actions. Operational Management Manage inventory to align with customer needs and ensure accurate inventory control with record keeping. Organize and maintain the warehouse and store layout for maximum efficiency and safe operations. Be knowledgeable and current about markets served, customers, vendors and competitors. Ensure efficient personnel operations by maintaining adequate staffing to meet company and customer needs in the most efficient and economical manner. Ensure proper training for all staff in store operations, customer service and safety. Market Leadership Meet or exceed total sales, gross margin, net income and asset management targets The goal is for the Branch to be the market leader in their chosen segment of business. Develop a plan on how you are going to continue to become and maintain the market leader position. Become a sales development driver in the business. Develop relationships with target customers and find ways to grow, maintain and service their business as well as other customers. Competencies Leadership & Performance Management.
