The Assistant Branch Manager I, participates in a comprehensive retail training program while working toward individual sales targets. In collaboration with the Branch Manager, this role helps cultivate a motivated sales and service team, ensuring that each member contributes to the branch's success through a consultative sales methodology. A key responsibility of the Assistant Branch Manager is the development of team members through one-on-one coaching sessions and performance accountability. Additionally, this role focuses on strengthening customer relationships through proactive initiatives, which may include limited participation in community events and business networking opportunities.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree with one year demonstrated track record of achieving sales goals is required. Will consider High School Diploma/GED with five years demonstrated track record of achieving sales goals.
- Retail Banking experience preferred.
- One year of managerial or supervisory experience is required.
- Ability to travel as needed to training.
- A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle is required.
- Candidates being considered will be subject to additional background checks as required by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.
Essential Functions:
- Lead the branch's development of new customer relationships by greeting customers in the branch, scheduling appointments with leads, and conducting outbound calling efforts.
- Assume a leadership role while motivating and holding team members accountable, assist Branch Manager in evaluating team member performance.
- Assist the team in all areas of branch operations including branch audits, security, and scheduling.
- Make sound, balanced decisions that prioritize risk management, profitability, and customer satisfaction in each transaction.
- Arithmetic skills to count money accurately.
- Computer literacy to access account information and process transactions.
- Develop a thorough knowledge of Bank products and guidelines by attending the required classes.
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times.
- Maintain the highest level of professional integrity and ethics.
- All employees have the responsibility and the accountability to serve as risk managers for their businesses by understanding, reporting, responding to, managing and monitoring the risk they encounter daily as required by Dollar Bank's risk management program.
