Position Summary:
The Rapid Group is seeking an experienced Branch Manager to oversee day-to-day operations and the overall performance of Industrial Sales & Service. This position provides leadership across operations, service, shop activities, scheduling, workforce utilization, customer service, and job execution to ensure the branch operates safely, efficiently, and profitably. A key function is to coordinate with sales for job scheduling and assist with reviewing proposed jobs for estimated profitability. The Branch Manager will be responsible for driving operational accountability, maximizing employee and equipment utilization, monitoring job performance, and ensuring work is completed on time and to customer expectations. Key Responsibilities Oversee the daily operations of the Industrial Sales & Service branch. Manage and improve labor and workforce utilization to maximize productivity and profitability. Oversee active jobs from scheduling through completion, ensuring appropriate staffing, materials, equipment, and resources are available. Review sales estimates for new jobs. Coordinate with sales for job scheduling and closing. Monitor job progress, costs, productivity, and operational performance. Lead and develop branch employees, including technicians, shop personnel, and administrative staff. Coordinate with sales, service, purchasing, and corporate leadership to support customer and operational needs. Identify operational inefficiencies and implement processes to improve productivity and profitability. Ensure accurate job documentation, timekeeping, and operational reporting. Maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and business partners. Promote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Support business development and identify opportunities to grow branch revenue and services. Ensure company policies, procedures, and safety standards are consistently followed. Qualifications 10 to 15 years of industry/operations experience Bachelor's degree in a technical or businessrelated field of study Experience managing business operations, preferably in an industrial, mechanical, service, or constructionrelated environment. Experience with mechanical solutions, machining, pumps, motors, or rotating equipment strongly preferred. Demonstrated leadership and team management experience. Strong understanding of labor utilization, job profitability, scheduling, and workforce management. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment. Strong problemsolving, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively with field, shop, sales, and corporate teams. Strong customer service mindset with the ability to build and maintain relationships. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is a hands-on operational leader who understands how industrial service businesses operate and can effectively balance people, customers, jobs, utilization, and profitability. Technical knowledge of pumps, motors, machining, and mechanical systems is highly valued, but strong business and operational leadership is equally important.
