Branch Manager - North Bend

Job Description

Job Purpose:
The Branch Manager will have direct responsibility for local drivers, warehouse staff & warehouse operations along with oversite of office administration and staffing. They will have dotted line responsibility to the local sales staff. A key objective for the Branch Manager is successful execution of meeting annual projections through P&L responsibilities such as cost controls and revenue generation. A large element of the Branch Manager's responsibilities will involve public relations in the community and with the company's customer base. Additionally, this position is responsible for strategic planning and creating and maintaining processes around safety, community outreach, customer satisfaction and employee retention. Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of the Carson Branch Tank Wagon Pricing Tank Wagon Dispatch Lubricant Pricing & Monthly Inventory Count of Lube Oils Lube orders from Vendors and/or Distribution Center Inventory Management for Bulk Fuel & Cardlock Create forecast, and maintain appropriate stocking levels and staffing on hand Supports overall Sales Strategy for Branch Review of Daily Drivers Reports Daily Cash Deposits and Posting for Cash and Checks Price Changes (Fuel & Lubes) to Customer Accounts Compliance with cardlock fire marshal requirements. Ensure compliance of all County, State and Federal requirements Compliance with tax requirements for FET and State Fuel Tax Exemptions. Inventory Reconciliation of bulk plant and card lock tanks Customer Master Changes for changes in address, delivery information Purchase Order Creation (Concur & PDI) and approval of A/P invoices as required Communication with IT on system communication/software/hardware issues Review of Financial Statements/Sales/Gross Profit/SQL reports to analyze branches financial performance/individual customer profitability, trends, change in customer volume, lost customers and what can be done to improve it. Working with Corporate Accounting as required on financial statements Facility Utilities (including cardlocks) management Office internal control for cash handling, sales orders, inventory Annual Monthly Sales and Expense Forecast Annual Capital Expenditure Budget Preparation Communicate all truck repair and maintenance needs to corporate Shop Manager and ensure timely completion of all items.   • in coordination with corporate, comply with regulations mandated by state and local agencies, monitor drivers' behavior, demeanor, and performance, understand federal DOT regulations, and enforce compliance Insurance
  • know who is authorized to operate company vehicles and/or personal vehicles on company business, report all vehicle incidents and employee injuries to Portland, know what constitutes a workers' compensation injury requiring a claim filing and be prepared to provide modified work Equipment
  • know and enforce DOT rules on pre
  • and post-trip vehicle inspections and proper handling of Vehicle Inspection Reports, be responsible for the general maintenance of equipment and coordinate with Portland truck shop Human Resources
  • know and follow regulations regarding employee status and overtime, harassment definitions, be aware of interaction among employees and resolve conflicts, confer, and coordinate with Portland on all hiring activities and terminations Working with Human Resources and Administration on staff changes, new hires, separations Personnel Reviews and Compensation recommendations
Qualifications:
3-5 years' hands-on P & L experience. Associates degree or equivalent work experience. 2+ years of supervisory/management of people. Self-motivated, proactive, capable of working as a member of a team, leading teams, mentoring teams, and working independently.
Working Conditions:
Majority of work conducted in office environment. May be required to drive in inclement weather. Work schedule will vary and may include work on evenings, weekends and holidays due to special events, inclement weather, and other projects related to timely distribution of product and services.
Physical Requirements:
Work involves moving boxes and employee must lift, bend, stoop, pick up and move objects up to 50 lbs.
