Job Description

Summary:
The Branch Manager will manage all day-to-day operations for a specified branch and implement the overall business operations strategic objectives. Champions organizational change by leading continuous improvement initiatives and consistently driving the achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs). This is a hands-on manager role that will thrive in a fast-paced environment focused on key departments for overall success of the branch.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Provide strong management, leadership and direction to direct reports and departments.
  • Be a champion for creating a strong safety culture through actions and accountability.
  • Ensure daily production, rental, sales and project schedules are met.
  • Lead project management team to ensure contract production is timely and within bid estimates.
  • Leads continuous improvement efforts at the branch level
  • Engage in discussions and negotiations with customers, contractors and other stakeholders to increase operational business performance.
  • Monitor project performance to ensure costs and timelines to deliver projects on time are within contract guidelines.
  • Demonstrate strong business acumen and lead others with less business experience.
  • Utilize systems for reporting production to accounting and provide weekly revenue and forecasting reports.
  • Partner with Leadership to maintain budget, forecast, financial and cost control expectations.
  • Collaborate with Fleet to identify and monitor equipment to maintain safety and production, reducing downtime.
  • Identify equipment and staffing resource needs to support the business and drive initiatives.
  • Recognize areas to decrease waste and increase revenues.
  • Conduct performance management evaluation of direct reports.
  • Participate in other projects and initiatives that drive company goals.
Supervisor Responsibilities:
    Field, Shop & Yard Operations, Project Management, Estimating, Rentals & Dispatch Education, Certifications & Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in management, business or related discipline preferred or equivalent experience.
    • 5+ years' experience in Construction or Field Services with an emphasis on meeting budget, plan and revenue.
    • 5+ years managing people and departments in a branch or off-site environment.
    • Above average knowledge of MS Office and other Business Systems / tools.

    • Must have strong problem-solving skills and a desire to create solutions.
    • Maintain a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Must have the ability to work in sensitive and confidential situations.
    • Prior experience working under tight deadlines with changing priorities.
    • Ability to anticipate work needs and follow through with minimal direction.
    • Excellent organization and time management skills.
    • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from internal or external customers.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently, be self-motivated with a high sense of urgency.
    • Ability to establish and maintain rapport and effective communication with diverse levels within the company and external organizations.
    • Ability to define and solve complex problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions with ability to deal with abstract and concrete variables.

    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may assist with day-to-day operations which may include loading and unloading traffic equipment, lifting heavy items, handling road equipment, and operating certain machinery.
    The employee is frequently required to sit for long periods of time at a computer and use hands to finger, handle, or feel, walk, reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, talk and hear. The employee is moderately required to stand and may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
    • This position may travel to off-site jobsite locations and therefore require wearing PPE depending on circumstance, which may include safety glasses, hard hat, ear protection, high-visibility safety vest and/or safety pants and/or steel toed footwear.
    At times client contract my drive PPE requirements.
    Pay:
    $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
