Job Description
We are seeking a detailed and dependable part-time Bookkeeper to support day-to-day financial operations, maintain accurate accounting records, process pay roll and taxes, coordinate banking activities, and assist with budgeting, audits, contracts, insurance records, and administrative functions. This position works closely with the Operations Manager and supports internal finance and review processes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare, record, and manage accounts payable, checks and related documentation
- Maintain the chart of accounts, general ledger, liabilities, petty cash reimbursement records, and month-end closing reports.
- Prepare and process payroll, maintain timecard records, and file required payroll tax forms
- Manage property, corporate and payroll tax records and related filings
- Perform banking tasks including reconciliations, CDs/CDARS, contributions, signature cards, check counts, and account records
- Work with internal review and finance committees as needed
- Maintain personnel records, W-2s, 1099s, employee insurance records, workers' compensation records, and insurance updates
- Track inventory, maintain asset and fixture databases, and prepare personal property reports
- Support annual department, all budget preparation, year-end close, audit review, and account file retention or purging.
- Prepare, record, and maintain files for contracts and leases.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bookkeeper certification preferred
- Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, payroll, or office administration preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record keeping
- Ability to handle confidential financial and personnel information with professionalism
- Working knowledge of accounts payable, general ledger activity, payroll processing, banking reconciliation, and tax related records
- Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain files, records, reports, contracts, and supporting documentation
- Proficiency with computers, office equipment, and common business software

- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively with management, committees, employees, vendors and outside agencies
