Job Description

Summary Under general direction, the Operations Support performs a variety of job responsibilities which may includeoperation of seed processing equipment, shipping and receiving of product, facility maintenance work, seedbagging, pulling seed samples and treating seed.
Key Responsibilities Operate and maintain equipment as directed by the Location Supervisor or other designated persons Operate processing equipment in the plant Operate the bagging line Assist with box washing duties Assist in repairs and maintenance of all equipment as assigned Aid in implementing and following quality control standards in all seed production and processing activities Perform other production, processing, and dock functions as may be required by the Location Supervisor Assist with treating parent seed Assist with sampling carry-over corn inventory Perform other jobs necessary as assigned by Location Supervisor Disclaimer - The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performedby people assigned to this classification. Typical Education High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Combination of education, training and/or experiencewill be considered for this position.
Skills & Relevant Experience 1+ years related experience and/or training Knowledge of basic plant operation preferred Ability to safely and accurately operate seed processing equipment, forklifts and seed treaters Ability to use a computer, including Microsoft office suite and Outlook Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing with management and other team members Requirements Valid Driver's license Must be able to lift 50lbs
