We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accounts Payable Specialist with 1 year of accounting experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for vendor setup and maintenance of approved suppliers (approved by owner/purchasing), including collection and maintenance of current W-9 for each vendor. Responsible to perform three-way match for vendor invoices prior to daily processing/data entry into Great Plains accounting software. Maintain vendor records and ensure all payments are processed in accordance with company policies. Responsible to record and validate ACH vendor payments with bank and apply payments into Great Plains accounting software. Responsible to reconcile vendor statements against company records (invoices, credit memos, and payments). Responsible for the reconciliation of AP aging and general ledger at month-end. Responsible for participation in company audits are required. Skills Knowledge of generally accepted accounting (GAAP) principles. Knowledge of financial records maintenance. Knowledge of accounts payable processing. Knowledge of computer software appropriate to the assignment, such as Word, Excel, and Outlook. Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) software. Ability to work under stringent deadlines and handle issues which develop unexpectedly. Other Requirements Associates Degree in Accounting and 1 year of experience, or
