Financial Aid Compensation:
$20.80 - $24.96 per hour ($43,270 - $51,925 annually) Guide students through the financial aid process and help make their career education achievable! Pima Medical Institute is seeking a detail-oriented, customer-service-driven Student Finance Officer to join our Phoenix campus team. In this vital role, you will interview prospective and continuing students, evaluate Title IV aid eligibility, assist with financial aid documentation, and counsel veteran students on VA benefits. Student Counseling & Aid Packaging:
Financial Aid Advising:
Interview prospective and continuing students to conduct needs assessments, determine financial aid eligibility, and answer funding inquiries.
Forms & Application Support:
Assist students with completing required financial aid paperwork, verify ISIRs, package awards, and arrange for required signatures.
VA & Agency Compliance:
Counsel veteran students and process benefits in strict adherence to Department of Veterans Affairs and State Approving Agency guidelines; manage agency needs analysis forms.
Financial Aid Advising:

Counsel veteran students and process benefits in strict adherence to Department of Veterans Affairs and State Approving Agency guidelines; manage agency needs analysis forms.
File Audit & Financial Operations:
File Compliance & Auditing:
Audit prospective and current student files to ensure complete, compliant documentation, Title IV verification, and proof of eligibility before class starts.
Payment Plans & Collections:
Document institutional financial plans, establish private pay repayment schedules for students with account balances, and contact former students to settle outstanding accounts.
System Integration & DOE Access:
Maintain active access to Department of Education (DOE) systems; track packaging dates, Pell/SEOG fund releases, loan application statuses, and lender documentation.
Departmental Collaboration:
Coordinate closely with Admissions staff to notify them of missed appointments and reschedule prospective students promptly.
File Compliance & Auditing:
Audit prospective and current student files to ensure complete, compliant documentation, Title IV verification, and proof of eligibility before class starts.

Experience:
Three (3) years of financial aid experience—including knowledge of Title IV funding—is preferred. An equivalent combination of training, education, or relevant experience meeting minimum qualifications will be considered.

Must be able to maintain access to Department of Education (DOE) systems.
