Job Description
Description Our client, in the non-profit space, is in need for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team in a temp-to-hire basis! This position supports core accounting operations by maintaining accurate financial records, reviewing transactions, and helping ensure timely reporting and compliance. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with detailed financial data, collaborating with internal and external contacts, and contributing to an efficient month-end and year-end close process.
Responsibilities:
- Processing high volume Accounts Payable invoices - over 150 per week
- Review spending activity, assist with budget analysis, and prepare clear expense reporting for management use.
- Communicate with clients and business partners regarding sensitive accounting matters with professionalism and discretion.
- Matching, batching, and coding invoices
- Vendor statement reconciliation
- Work with internal teams to review transactions and resolve outstanding issues.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing tasks, including audit preparation and adherence to accounting policies and regulatory requirement Requirements
- At least 1-2 years in accounts payable processing -Comfortable processing at least 100 invoices or more a week Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for record tracking, and reporting.
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage confidential financial information responsibly.
- Effective communication skills for working with clients, colleagues, and external partners.
- Ability to prioritize deadlines and manage multiple accounting tasks in a fast-paced environment.
