Responsibilities Perform accounts payable and accounts receivable management, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments Reconcile balance sheets and perform account analysis to verify accuracy of financial data Prepare journal entries, conduct double entry bookkeeping, and support month-end closing activities Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Workday, or PeopleSoft to record and analyze financial transactions Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) regulations during all accounting processes Handle confidential information with integrity and maintain strict data security protocols Assist with financial audits by preparing documentation and supporting audit inquiries Requirements Proven experience in accounting or finance roles, including bookkeeping, data entry, and account reconciliation Strong knowledge of accounting concepts such as debits & credits, journal entries, and balance sheet management Proficiency with financial software including QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, ADP, Kronos, UltiPro or Ceridian is highly desirable Familiarity with governmental accounting standards and public accounting practices is a plus Excellent numeracy skills with the ability to analyze Excel data efficiently using spreadsheets and data analysis tools Ability to handle multiple tasks accurately while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills for customer service interactions and internal collaboration Knowledge of technical accounting areas such as complex journal entries or revenue recognition is advantageous Join us as an Accounting Specialist and become an essential part of our dedicated finance team!
