Job Description

Overview:
Ethos Management, Inc provides Collections, Billing, Accounts Receivable and Customer Service support to AHMC Hospitals to assist with their revenue cycle objectives.
Position Summary:
The AR Account Representative is responsible for the accurate and timely posting of all payments from EOBs and reconciles the total account receivables logs. All job functions are required to be completed with a minimum number of errors. Associate must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Major Responsibilities/Activities:
The AR Account Representative is responsible for: Allocating cash payments from bank to individual patient accounts via Lock Boxes and electronic remittance advices (EFTs), including any payment denials. Accurately reconciling and balancing accounts receivables logs daily to bank totals. Identifying accounts receivables versus non-accounts receivables (GL) and different financial classes for each payment. Posting contractual adjustments as needed by accurately identifying account payment status. Researching and resolving corrections and unidentified cash within 5 working days after posting, including contacting the payers for any EOB discrepancies. Attending department specific education/training, in-services, and staff meetings. Following Ethos Management procedures for account management protocol. Abiding by Ethos Management's Inc. Code of Conduct and HIPAA compliance standards. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Ethos Management Inc. Qualifications/Skills &Knowledge Requirements:
2 years of recent hospital posting experience preferred High School Diploma or equivalent experience required Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel Experience in reading medical EOB's and/or Accounting preferred Ability to maintain records, balance books, and general accounting procedures Must be able to work independently and in a fast paced environment1 year of clerical experience in a hospital or medical office preferred Must be able to work Full-time, Monday through Friday, onsite at our office location.

$21.00 - $23.00 per hour
