Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION
Applicants can expect to teach and/or tutor individual students and small groups of students. Teachers will be assigned academic subjects according to their strengths. They will plan classes around provided class material.
ABOUT THE JOB
We seek a caring instructor to teach AP Chemistry and AP Biology in small group tutoring sessions of 2-3 students. The instructor must be available to come to our center in-person for these sessions.
ABOUT ELITE PREP CERRITOS
Elite Prep Cerritos is a local tutoring center that offers personalized tutoring, SAT Prep, AP support, and college admissions counseling.
QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements for employment: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related STEM field (required) Strong subject matter expertise in Chemistry and Biology Ability to teach AP-level content Not currently enrolled in undergraduate programs
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior teaching or tutoring experience Dynamic, engaging instructional style Strong communication skills Math teaching experience welcome
POSITION DETAILS
Schedule:
Shifts are weekday afternoons/evenings (4:00-8:00 PM).
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
