Accounting Manager About Richwell Group Richwell Group is a meat and seafood manufacturer located in City of Industry, California. We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Payable Specialist to join our accounting team and support the day-to-day financial operations of the company. Position Summary The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for managing the company's accounts payable activities, including processing invoices, verifying supporting documentation, maintaining accurate vendor records, and assisting with timely payments. This position requires strong attention to detail, organization, accuracy, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Accounts Payable Specialist will report directly to the Accounting Manager . Essential Responsibilities Process and accurately code vendor invoices and accounts payable transactions. Review invoices for accuracy, appropriate approvals, and supporting documentation. Match invoices with purchase orders, receiving documents, and other applicable records. Enter invoices and payment information into the accounting system. Reconcile vendor statements and research discrepancies. Communicate with vendors regarding invoices, payment status, and account discrepancies. Prepare and process payments in accordance with company policies and payment schedules. Maintain organized and accurate accounts payable files and documentation. Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities. Assist with account reconciliations and other accounting duties as assigned. Monitor outstanding invoices and help ensure timely payment of obligations. Maintain confidentiality of financial and vendor information. Work closely with purchasing, receiving, and other departments to resolve invoice and payment issues. Support the Accounting Manager and accounting team with special projects and administrative duties as needed. Qualifications Required 2+ years of accounting experience , preferably with accounts payable experience. High school diploma or equivalent required; accounting coursework or an associate degree is a plus. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information. Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team. Preferred Previous experience in a manufacturing, food production, distribution, or related industry. Experience with an ERP or accounting software system. Experience with three-way matching and vendor statement reconciliations. Work Environment This position is primarily an office-based accounting role located at Richwell Group's manufacturing facility in City of Industry, California . The employee may interact regularly with purchasing, receiving, operations, vendors, and other departments.
