Job Description

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join the team in Concord, North Carolina on a Contract basis. This on-site role supports day-to-day accounts payable operations and helps maintain accurate, timely processing for vendor payments and financial records. The position is ideal for someone who works well across teams, brings strong attention to detail, and is comfortable managing a high-volume AP workflow in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Process invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper account coding and alignment with internal approval procedures.
  • Perform three-way matching by reviewing invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documentation to confirm payment accuracy.
  • Prepare and manage weekly payment activities, including ACH transactions, check runs, and other routine disbursements.
  • Partner with procurement and finance teams to resolve discrepancies, clarify invoice details, and support cost reporting needs.
  • Maintain organized accounts payable records and assist with improving workflows to strengthen efficiency and consistency.
  • Use Excel to analyze payment data, track outstanding items, and support reporting requirements.
  • Investigate vendor account issues and follow through on resolution of payment questions or unmatched transactions.
  • Contribute to broader AP operational support, including non-inventory purchasing activity and related financial processing tasks.
