Location:
5856 Corporate Ave, Cypress, CA Clockwork Construction Inc is a general contractor that specializes in commercial construction with a focus on restaurant construction, remodels, new construction, conversions, and other commercial projects. The selected candidate will have a strong list of clients/industry contacts and will be responsible for and have the following qualifications:
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including coding invoices to the proper job, phase, cost code, and general ledger account.
  • Process subcontractor and vendor invoices and verify contracts, change orders, lien releases, and insurance requirements
  • Maintain accurate job-cost records in Sage 100 Contractor and assist project managers with resolving cost discrepancies.
  • Prepare and process customer billings, including progress billings, retention, change orders, and AIA-style applications for payment.
  • Monitor AR aging and collections and follow up on outstanding customer payments.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, loans, and other balance-sheet accounts.
  • Maintain subcontract, purchase order, and change-order accounting records.
  • Conduct month-end close, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and review of job costs.
  • Assist management with WIP, over/under billings, job profitability, AP/AR aging, cash-flow reporting, and financial reports.
  • Maintain vendor and subcontractor records, including W-9s, certificates of insurance, and year-end 1099 reporting.
  • Assist the President and management team with other accounting and administrative reporting as needed. Qualifications
  • 3+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping
  • Working knowledge of AP, AR, payroll, and account reconciliations
  • Intermediate Excel skills (formulas, sorting, basic pivot tables)
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines across multiple projects
  • Clear communication with vendors, subcontractors, and field staff Experience setting up jobs, cost codes, and budgets in Sage 100 Contractor preferred Familiarity with job costing, retainage, WIP reporting, and AIA billing Experience with certified payroll and prevailing wage requirements Associate's degree in accounting or a related field
Compensation :
DOE plus variable bonuses based upon company and individual performance
Pay:
Up to $90,000.00 per year
