Job Description
An established, family-owned construction company in Solana Beach, CA is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist. This in-office role is ideal for a dependable accounting professional who enjoys detail-oriented work, values a close-knit team environment, and is open to either part-time or full-time employment, as full-time hours may be available for the right candidate. The Accounts Payable Specialist will support invoice processing, vendor and subcontractor communication, statement reconciliation, and construction-related documentation. - Receive, review, and process invoices submitted via email, ensuring accuracy and readiness for payment.
- Reconcile vendor and subcontractor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Communicate with subcontractors regarding invoices, documentation, insurance records, preliminary notices, and lien releases.
- Manage accounts payable email correspondence, follow-up tasks, and related documentation.
- Perform accurate data entry and maintain organized accounting records.
- Provide additional administrative and accounting support as needed in a small office environment. Compensation and Benefits
Pay:
$26 to $28 per hour, depending on experience.Schedule:
Approximately 20 hours per week, with the flexibility to consider full-time hours for the right candidate.Location:
Solana Beach, CA. Required Qualifications and Skills- Previous accounts payable experience is required.
- Experience processing invoices and reconciling statements is required.
- Strong data entry, organizational, and recordkeeping skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Dependable, professional, and able to maintain a stable work history.
- Comfortable working independently in a small office environment.
- Strong communication skills for vendor and subcontractor follow-up. Preferred Qualifications
- Construction industry experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with preliminary notices and lien releases is a plus.
- Experience supporting subcontractor insurance documentation is helpful.
