Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support daily financial operations for a long-term contract assignment in Forestville, New York. This role is well suited for someone who is comfortable managing a high volume of transactions, maintaining accurate records, and working across both payables and receivables functions. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, hands-on experience with QuickBooks, and the ability to keep documentation and invoice activity current and precise.
Responsibilities:
  • Process a large volume of payment-related transactions with accuracy and consistency each day.
  • Handle accounts payable tasks, including reviewing invoices, entering financial data, and preparing items for payment.
  • Support accounts receivable activities by recording incoming payments and helping maintain up-to-date customer account records.
  • Enter invoice and accounting information into QuickBooks and internal records while ensuring data accuracy.
  • Scan, organize, and maintain financial documents so records are complete, accessible, and properly filed.
  • Review transaction details carefully to identify discrepancies and help keep accounting information accurate.
  • Assist with invoice processing workflows and ensure supporting documentation is attached and stored appropriately.
