As an accounts payable / receivable clerk, you will be responsible for processing vendor invoices, customer payments, manufacturer receivables, and other accounting transactions while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reconciliation of dealership accounts. The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting fundamentals, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines. Responsibilities Accounts Payable Review, verify, process vendor invoices accurately and timely. Prepare and process vendor payments. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies. Maintain organized vendor files and supporting documentation. Communicate with vendors regarding payment inquiries and account issues. Accounts Receivable Process customer payments and dealership receipts. Monitor and reconcile customer, manufacturer, and vendor receivable accounts. Follow up on outstanding balances and aged receivables. Reconcile warranty, incentive, rebate, reserves, and manufacturer receivables. Investigate and resolve account discrepancies. Assist with collections and account maintenance as necessary. General Accounting Responsibilities Reconcile schedules and general ledger accounts. Assist with month-end closing procedures. Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation. Ensure compliance with dealership accounting policies and procedures. Assist with special accounting projects and administrative duties as assigned.
Experience / Qualifications
Previous automotive dealership accounting experience preferred, but willing to train the right person. Accounts Payable / Receivable experience preferred. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Familiarity with office management tools including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a busy setting while maintaining deadlines. Professional communication and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to handle confidential information responsibly while maintaining high levels of accuracy in data entry and record keeping Experience that demonstrates effective time management and multitasking capabilities
Pay:
$21.00 - $26.00 per hour
