Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Data Entry/Bookkeeper to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing accounting transactions, and supporting the daily operations of the accounting department. The ideal candidate is highly organized, dependable, eager to learn, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, has strong attention to detail, and is looking to build a career in accounting or bookkeeping.
Responsibilities, Abilities & Skills:
Enter financial and business data accurately into accounting systems. Process invoices, bills, receipts, and expense reports. Record accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions. Reconcile bank and credit card statements. Maintain organized digital and physical financial records. Assist with payroll and employee records as needed. Prepare reports and spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel. Communicate with vendors, customers, and team members regarding accounting documents. Support the accounting team with administrative and bookkeeping tasks. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
What we expect from you:
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy. Basic knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Experience with QuickBooks (Desktop or Online) is preferred. Fast and accurate data entry skills. Good organizational and time management skills. Ability to handle confidential information professionally. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Positive attitude, dependable, eager to learn, and willing to take initiative.
Job Type:
Full-time 40hrs. per week (Monday to Friday) In person
Schedule Requirement:
8-hour shift 9am - 5:30pm (1hr. break) Must be available to work certain company-observed holidays as business needs require. May require occasional overtime hours with approval
Education:
Associate's degree (AA/AS) is required
Experience:
Minimum 1 year of bookkeeping experience required Previous experience in an administrative role is preferred Excel experience, Pivot tables, Formulas Strong computer skills and proficiency with MS Office Experience working with multiple databases
