Full Job Description Position Summary:
The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for making timely and accurate payments owed by the company, verifying invoices, reconciling outstanding balances and researching issues until resolved. Responsibilities must be performed in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.
Essential Functions:
1. Practice, support, and promote Thunder Valley Casino Resort's "ELITE" company-wide service mission and demonstrate AAA Four Diamond service standards at all times. 2. Ensure bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures. 3. Process payments by obtaining proper information and/or data, verifying accuracy, reconciling, entering and posting batches. 4. Conduct detailed review of accounts and cost centers to ensure proper coding of expenses in the general ledger. 5. Monitor use of all credit memos and maximize discount opportunities. 6. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies. 7. Maintain positive working relationship with vendors, co-workers, and internal and external Guests. 8. Maintain compliance with departmental policies and procedures. 9. Maintain complete confidentiality at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. High school or equivalent education required. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred. 2. At least two (2) years of prior high-volume accounts payable experience preferred. 3. Great attention to detail and accuracy. 4. Ability to perform basic data entry, including operating a 10-key calculator by touch. 5. Good computer skills with ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Office suite and electronic filing systems. 6. Strong organizational, investigative and problem-solving resolution skills. 7. Must be at least 21 years of age. 8. Must be able to obtain UAIC Tribal Gaming License.
Physical Requirements:
1. Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols. 2. Ability to sit for prolonged time periods. 3. Ability to view a computer monitor for prolonged time periods. 4. Ability to lift boxes weighing up to 40 pounds. 5. Manual dexterity to operate job related equipment.
