Accounting Clerk
Job Description
Job Summary We are hiring an experienced Accounting Clerk for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Norwalk, CA with a growing manufacturing company. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, invoice processing, and reconciliation experience. The Accounting Clerk will support daily accounting operations while working closely with purchasing, production, warehouse, shipping, vendors, and customers. Candidates will gain hands-on exposure to manufacturing accounting processes, inventory-related reconciliations, and month-end support. Key Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including vendor invoices, customer payments, credits, and adjustments.
- Match purchase orders, receiving documents, and vendor invoices while verifying quantities, pricing, account coding, and approvals.
- Reconcile vendor statements, resolve billing or payment discrepancies, and assist with past-due account follow-up.
- Support inventory, freight, manufacturing cost reconciliations, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger maintenance.
- Maintain accurate accounting records, spreadsheets, electronic files, and reports to support month-end close and daily accounting activity.
- Communicate professionally with vendors, customers, purchasing, production, warehouse, and shipping teams to research and resolve discrepancies. Compensation

$23 to $26 per hour.Job Type:

Norwalk, CA. Required Qualifications and Skills- 2 to 3 years of accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or bookkeeping experience required.
- Experience with ERP systems or accounting software required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and spreadsheet maintenance.
- Knowledge of purchase orders, invoices, payment processing, account coding, and account reconciliation.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and follow-through.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively with internal departments, vendors, and customers.
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Preferred Qualifications
- Manufacturing, distribution, wholesale, or logistics industry experience strongly preferred.
- Accounting coursework or an associate degree preferred.
- Experience with inventory, freight, production, warehouse, or shipment-related accounting reconciliations preferred.
