Review invoices, obtain appropriate approvals, and enter expenses accurately. Prepare and process vendor and other company checks. Assist with customer account activity, payments, and collections. Process payroll accurately and on schedule. Maintain accurate payroll and employee-related records. Enter and maintain financial information in QuickBooks. Assist with bank and credit-card reconciliations. Help maintain accurate general-ledger records. Assist with month-end accounting tasks and financial reporting. Research and resolve billing, payment, payroll, and account discrepancies. Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation. Protect confidential company, employee, and customer information. Communicate professionally with employees, managers, customers, and vendors. Participate in EOS meetings and contribute to departmental priorities, scorecards, and quarterly Rocks. Assist the Accounting Manager and leadership team with other accounting and administrative responsibilities as needed. What We're Looking For Strong practical knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping principles. Proficiency with QuickBooks. Previous accounts payable and accounts receivable experience. Previous payroll-processing experience. Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to reconcile accounts and identify discrepancies. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other standard office applications. Excellent organization and time-management skills. Ability to prioritize responsibilities and meet established deadlines. Sound judgment when working with sensitive and confidential information. Clear, professional written and verbal communication. A dependable, accountable, and team-oriented approach to work. Ability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team. Preferred Qualifications Three or more years of accounting, bookkeeping, or payroll experience. Experience working in QuickBooks and a payroll-processing system. Experience supporting month-end close and financial reporting. Associate degree or additional education in accounting, bookkeeping, finance, or a related field is preferred but not required.
