As the largest organization of its kind in Santa Clara County, we are dedicated to offering career-oriented education to both high school and adult students. Annually, MetroED provides 2,600 diverse students with the skills to help them be productive, income-earning, and tax-paying contributors to Silicon Valley. MetroED collaborates with designated districts to provide comprehensive educational opportunities for adults and high school students. Through our Silicon Valley Career Technical Education program, we offer career technical education to high school students and, on a space-available basis, to adult students in the following districts: Campbell Union High School District, East Side Union High School District, Los Gatos-Saratoga Union High School District, Milpitas Unified School District, San Jose Unified School District, and Santa Clara Unified School District. Additionally, our Silicon Valley Adult Education provides courses for the San Jose Unified School District. Job Summary Job Summary The Bookkeeper assists SVCTE program staff with financial record keeping, purchase order processing, and account tracking. The incumbent maintains secondary spreadsheet records reconciled with the District's QSS accounting software, communicates account balances to instructors and administrators, adheres to cash-handling and credit-card procedures, and provides support for absence reporting and substitute coordination. This position plays a critical role in supporting high-quality Career Technical Education programs by ensuring accurate, transparent, and timely financial processes, allowing instructors to focus on student learning and career preparation.
