Description We are looking for a detail-oriented part-time Full Charge Bookkeeper to support day-to-day financial operations for an organization based in Santa Barbara, California. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for someone who can manage core accounting functions independently while maintaining accuracy across records, payments, and reporting. The role requires hands-on experience with bookkeeping systems, payroll processing, and account reconciliation in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee complete bookkeeping activities, ensuring financial records are current, organized, and accurate.
• Manage incoming invoices and vendor payments while maintaining timely accounts payable processing.
• Track customer billings and payments, follow up on outstanding balances, and support accounts receivable activities.
• Process payroll with attention to accuracy, deadlines, and applicable recordkeeping requirements.
• Reconcile bank accounts and review transactions to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Enter financial data into QuickBooks and maintain consistent documentation across accounting records.
• Prepare routine financial information and support reporting needs for internal review.
• Assist with general accounting administration and help maintain smooth daily finance operations. Requirements
• At least 2 years of experience in full charge bookkeeping or a closely related accounting role.
• Practical experience using QuickBooks for daily bookkeeping and financial record maintenance.
• Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation processes.
• Experience processing payroll accurately and on schedule.
• Strong data entry skills with careful attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and stay organized.
• Clear understanding of standard bookkeeping practices and financial documentation requirements.
