Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an Accounting Clerk General Office professional for a direct hire opportunity in Santa Fe Springs, CA. This role supports accounts receivable, billing, collections, spreadsheet management, filing, scheduling, and general office administration within the construction, industrial facilities, and infrastructure industry. This is a strong opportunity for a detail-oriented accounting and administrative professional who enjoys variety, structure, and working in a team-focused office environment. The Accounting Clerk General Office role is ideal for someone who is organized, dependable, comfortable with customer communication, and looking to contribute to accurate financial records and smooth daily operations. Key Responsibilities
  • Create, maintain, and manage spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel to support accounting and administrative workflows.
  • Process billing and invoicing activities accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Manage accounts receivable tasks, including posting customer payments, filing payment records, and maintaining account documentation.
  • Follow up on past-due accounts and assist with collections communication in a professional manner.
  • Use Outlook and Excel to schedule, track, and maintain calendars, deadlines, and important office activities.
  • Support annual fiscal year setup tasks, including creating customer files, establishing folders, and preparing inspection-related documentation. Compensation and Benefits
  • Pay:
    $21.00 to $24.00 per hour.

    Direct hire. Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Manage accounts receivable, billing, invoicing, payment posting, and customer account follow-up.
  • Maintain accurate Excel spreadsheets, calendars, files, and accounting support documentation.
  • Assist with collections efforts and communicate professionally with customers regarding balances and payments.
  • Provide general office support, including front desk coverage, phone handling, visitor assistance, and filing.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant accounting, accounts receivable, billing, collections, or office administrative experience.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills are required.
  • Experience using Microsoft Outlook for scheduling, tracking deadlines, and maintaining calendars.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain organized electronic and physical records.
  • Professional phone etiquette, customer service skills, and comfort communicating with customers about account balances. Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in accounts receivable, billing, collections, or administrative support.
  • Experience supporting accounting functions in a construction, industrial services, facilities, infrastructure, or similar business environment.
  • Familiarity with customer file setup, fiscal year documentation, inspection records, or deadline-driven administrative processes.
