Accounts Payable Specialist:

Monday - Friday, 7:00am to 3:30PM Pay for

Accounts Payable Specialist :

$25.00 to $30.00/hr. This position will be responsible for processing invoices and payments, reconciling vendor accounts, resolving discrepancies, maintaining accurate financial documentation, and assisting with month-end closing activities. Position Responsibilities Review invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment. Prioritize invoices based on cash discount opportunities and payment terms. Process check requests accurately and timely. Match invoices to checks, obtain required signatures, and distribute checks accordingly. Respond to vendor inquiries professionally and promptly. Reconcile vendor statements and research and resolve discrepancies. Assist with month-end closing activities. Maintain Accounts Payable files and documentation accurately and in accordance with company policies and accepted accounting practices. Assist with additional accounting and administrative projects as needed. Requirements Minimum of 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience. High school diploma required; college-level accounting courses preferred. Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable and general ledger systems and procedures. Understanding of basic accounting principles, financial charts of accounts, and corporate accounting procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. Oracle experience is a plus. Ability to perform 10-key by touch. Typing speed of 60-65 WPM. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to prioritize responsibilities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Qualified applicants with criminal histories will be considered for employment.
