Job Description
Description We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to support day-to-day administrative and accounting operations. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys accurate record handling, document organization, and providing dependable office support in a structured environment. The role centers on clerical accounting tasks while also assisting with front desk coverage as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Organize, file, and maintain accounting records so documents are easy to retrieve and properly archived.
- Scan paid vendor invoices and upload them accurately into the company's recordkeeping system.
- Enter financial and administrative data with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Support accounts payable activities by helping process invoice documentation and related records.
- Assist with accounts receivable administrative tasks, including updating files and verifying entries.
- Provide backup reception support by greeting visitors, answering phones, and directing inquiries appropriately.
- Help maintain an orderly front office by managing routine clerical tasks and general administrative needs. Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in an accounting clerk, administrative, or similar office support role.
- Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, data entry, and invoice processing.
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail when handling financial documents and records.
- Ability to manage filing, scanning, and document organization in a fast-paced office setting.
- Comfortable providing backup front desk and receptionist support when needed.
- Proficiency with standard office software and digital document management tools.
- Strong communication skills and a detail-focused approach when interacting with staff and visitors.
