Description:
Transwest is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to maintain exceptional customer relationships, post payments, reconcile accounts, and follow up on delinquent accounts. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage customer accounts and provide excellent customer service. Accept and post payments across 2 separate ERP systems. Follow up on unpaid invoices and delinquent accounts. Resolve invoicing and payment discrepancies. Coordinate and resolve collections by examining customer payment plans, payment history, credit line, etc. Post and reconcile daily cash transactions. Post journal entries. Clean and maintain accounting schedules. Send customer statements. Protect the organization's value by keeping information confidential. Provide support to other Transwest team members. Other duties as assigned by manager.
Requirements:
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ABILITIES
Requires frequent sitting, standing, balancing, bending or stooping for prolonged periods of time. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment. Ability to communicate by providing verbal / written feedback in a professional manner. Ability to receive and analyze data and input into a computer. Normal range of hearing and vision.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
High school diploma or equivalent. Valid Driver's License and MVR in good standing. 2 years of accounting experience. Ability to multitask. Strong organization skills. Strong data entry and math skills. Strong critical thinking skills. Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Ability to successfully complete a General Abilities Assessment and pass a post-offer background check, physical and drug screening.
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Accounting degree. Knowledge of Karmak/CDK or dealership experience is a plus.
