This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional with experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or general accounting who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in accuracy and organization. Automotive dealership experience is a plus, but candidates with relevant accounting experience from any industry are encouraged to apply. What You'll Do Post invoices and ensure financial information is recorded accurately Reconcile vendor and customer statements Prepare accounts for payment and verify information within the accounting system Process and disburse checks Balance statements and finalize financial data Process daily deposits and ensure transactions are accurately recorded Prepare and run monthly Accounts Receivable statements Monitor aging receivables and follow up on past-due accounts Follow up on returned checks and outstanding balances Communicate with customers, vendors, and internal departments regarding account questions and payments Maintain accurate records and documentation Assist with other accounting and administrative duties as needed What We're Looking For 1+ year of Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable experience Experience with a Dealership Management System (DMS) and payroll/accounting platforms is preferred Previous automotive dealership accounting experience is a plus Accounting degree or relevant education is preferred, but not required Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Self-motivated and able to work independently while also contributing to a team Comfortable working with numbers, financial records, and computer systems A willingness to learn and continually develop your accounting knowledge About Gengras Motor Cars Gengras Motor Cars is a proud, family-owned automotive group with deep roots in New England, dating back to the 1930s.
