Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our dynamic accounting and finance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Duties Record, maintain, and organize daily financial transactions using QuickBooks Desktop, ensuring accurate and up-to-date accounting records. Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including processing vendor invoices, payments, resident billing, collections, and follow-up on outstanding balances. Maintain accurate records of resident payments, deposits, vendor transactions, and other facility-related financial activity. Maintain accurate supporting documentation and accounting records in accordance with GAAP and applicable accounting standards and regulations. Assist the Controller, CPA, and company owners with accounting and financial reporting needs by maintaining organized and complete financial documentation. Prepare account analyses, reconciliations, and supporting schedules as requested, and investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial records. Assist with the preparation and review of monthly financial and accounting reports. Ensure financial information is handled with a high degree of accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail. Experience Proven bookkeeping experience, with a strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles, including debits and credits, double-entry bookkeeping, and general ledger accounting. Demonstrated proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop, including transaction recording, account reconciliation, and maintaining accurate accounting records. Previous experience working in a corporate accounting or professional bookkeeping environment is highly desirable. Ability to accurately analyze financial accounts and prepare supporting schedules using Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and other financial tools. Working knowledge of GAAP and general accounting practices is preferred. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy when maintaining financial records. Ability to manage multiple accounting tasks and meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with the accounting team, Controller, CPA, management, and company owners. Ability to maintain the confidentiality and integrity of financial and resident-related information.
