Job Description

Overview Are you a detail-oriented accounting professional who sees the "big picture" beyond just data entry? We are looking for a skilled Accounts Payable Clerk who understands how every invoice impacts the general ledger. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment where your accuracy ensures seamless vendor relationships and your accounting knowledge supports month-end success, we want to hear from you! In this role, you will manage the full-cycle AP process, ensuring all vendors are paid accurately and on time. You will act as a vital bridge between daily transactions and the general ledger, assisting with essential month-end tasks. Schedule & compensation
Pay Rate:
$20.00
  • $21.
00 per hour, depending on experience.
Work Schedule:
Monday-Thursday:
7:00 AM
  • 4:00
PM and Friday:
7:00 AM
  • 2:30 PM.
Responsibilities:
  • Invoice Processing:
    Review, code, and post high-volume invoices into the accounting system with precision.
  • Disbursements:
    Prepare and "cut" weekly checks and manage electronic payments like ACH and Wires.
  • Ledger Maintenance:
    Post journal entries and assist in reconciling sub-ledgers to the General Ledger (GL)
  • Vendor Management:
    Serve as the primary contact for inquiries, reconcile statements, and resolve billing discrepancies.
  • Compliance:
    Maintain organized filing systems and assist with year-end 1099 processing.

General Support:
Work alongside the Controller or Accounting Manager on bank reconciliations and closing procedures.
Skills :
  • Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs).
  • Experience with 3-way matching (PO, Receipt, Invoice).
  • Negotiation skills for resolving vendor disputes.
  • Prior experience in your specific industry.
Qualifications :
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite).
  • Understanding of Debits/Credits and the "Double-Entry" system.
  • High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • 2+ years in an AP or General Accounting role.
