Competitive Salary Based on Experience + Bonus Opportunities About Palm Beach Trim Palm Beach Trim is a premier custom millwork and cabinetry manufacturer, supplier, and installer serving luxury custom homebuilders and estate homeowners throughout Palm Beach County. With a long-standing reputation for quality craftsmanship and exceptional service, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper Assistant to join our accounting team. Position Summary The Bookkeeper Assistant will support the Controller with the day-to-day accounting and administrative functions of the company. This position is ideal for an organized individual who enjoys working with numbers, has strong attention to detail, and is looking to grow within a construction accounting environment. The successful candidate will assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, job costing, payroll support, and general accounting functions while helping ensure the accuracy of financial records and maintaining organized documentation. Primary ResponsibilitiesAccounting Support Assist with Accounts Payable, including entering vendor invoices and preparing payments. Assist with Accounts Receivable, including customer invoicing, payment posting, and collections. Process daily deposits and maintain accurate cash receipt records. Maintain vendor and customer files. Assist with monthly bank and credit card reconciliations. Prepare and organize accounting documentation for the Controller. Support month-end and year-end closing activities. Assist with maintaining organized financial records and filing systems. Construction Accounting Support Assist with job costing and project cost tracking. Help maintain project budgets and supporting documentation. Assist with contract administration, change orders, and billing documentation. Track subcontractor insurance certificates, lien releases, and compliance documents. Support project managers with administrative accounting requests. Payroll & Administrative Support Assist with weekly payroll processing. Maintain employee payroll records and related documentation. Assist with payroll reporting and employee benefit administration. Answer phones and assist with general office administrative duties as needed. Provide additional administrative support to the Controller and management team. QualificationsRequired Experience 2+ years of bookkeeping, accounting, or administrative accounting experience. Construction industry experience is preferred but not required. Basic understanding of accounting principles. Software Proficiency Sage CRE 300 (Timberline) experience preferred. Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) required. Procore experience is a plus. Monday.com experience is a plus. Comfortable working with accounting software and spreadsheets. Skills & Attributes Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management and follow-through. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Positive attitude and willingness to learn. Working Conditions This is a full-time, in-office position located in Riviera Beach, Florida. Typical work schedule is 40 hours per week .
