Job Description
Full Charge Bookkeeper $35-$40 per hour Reports to:
Senior Accounting Manager Location:
Stone Mountain, GA About the Role We're seeking a hands-on Full-Charge Bookkeeper who can own day-to-day accounting operations and support month-end close in a timely manner. You'll maintain accurate financial records, manage the full A/P and A/R cycles, perform reconciliations, support payroll, and ensure timely, clean data for the Senior Accounting Manager. This role requires someone who is organized, reliable, and comfortable taking responsibility for the completeness and accuracy of our books. Key Responsibilities Core Accounting Manage full-cycle A/P and A/R, including vendor setup, invoice processing, customer billing, and collections follow-up Maintain the general ledger with accurate, timely entries Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals and prepaids Reconcile bank, credit card, loan, and balance-sheet accounts monthly Support the Senior Accounting Manager in month-end and year-end close Assist with financial reporting and schedule preparation for internal and external stakeholders Operational Finance & Administration Oversee payroll processing (hourly & salaried), including PTO tracking and payroll journal entries Maintain accurate employee records and support basic HR administrative functions Prepare vendor compliance files, and assist with annual audit/tax documentation Monitor cash flow, outstanding receivables, and payment schedules Maintain internal controls and improve process efficiency where needed Semi-monthly inventory reporting and adjustments, with daily assembly builds Other duties as required Qualifications Associate degree in accounting, bookkeeping, or related field required; Bachelor's preferred 5-8+ years of full-charge bookkeeping or comparable accounting experience Strong understanding of GAAP and full-cycle accounting Excellent Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data validation) Strong organizational habits and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently High attention to detail and ownership of accuracy Experience in a small-to-mid-sized business environment is a plus What Success Looks Like Month-end is consistently closed on time with clean reconciliations A/P and A/R workflows are accurate, timely, and require minimal supervision Payroll is processed smoothly with zero compliance issuesJob Type:
