Job Description

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE/BOOKKEEPER
High volume Accounts Payable experience required. Construction and/or real estate experience preferred. Since 1978, Kimberley Development Corporation (KDC), a privately owned, family-run residential real estate development and homebuilding company based in Ankeny, Iowa, has specialized in luxury custom homes, move-in-ready homes, and residential community development. We're seeking an experienced Accounts Payable/Bookkeeper to join their in-office accounting team and play an important role in supporting the company's financial and administrative operations.
Responsibilities:
Process a high volume of invoices, including data entry, verification, coding, and payment processing. Handle Accounts Receivable tasks, including bank deposits, QuickBooks data entry, and resolving outstanding balances. Assist with home closing records and HOA operations, including dues collection and lien waivers. Prepare mailings and provide professional customer service to customers, vendors, and subcontractors by phone and in person. Maintain a professional, cooperative, and customer-focused working environment. Perform other accounting and administrative duties as needed.
Qualifications:
1-3 years of accounting/bookkeeping experience, including high-volume Accounts Payable. Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable/Receivable, invoicing, billing, financial statements, and QuickBooks Desktop. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Detail-oriented team player who can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and identify process improvements. Construction or real estate experience preferred.
