Job Description
About the Role We are seeking a skilled Injection Molding Process Specialist to optimize our injection molding processes, ensuring consistent production of high-quality parts. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in mold setup, process troubleshooting, and robotics programming to maximize uptime and minimize defects. Your proficiency in PLC troubleshooting and continuous improvement methodologies will be essential to driving efficiency and maintaining our high standards. Responsibilities Set molds and start up injection molding machines to achieve optimal production parameters. Diagnose and resolve process-related issues to minimize downtime and maximize machine uptime. Adjust process parameters to prevent defects and reduce scrap rates, ensuring consistent product quality. Program and fine-tune robotics systems to enhance efficiency and precision in material handling and part extraction. Support mold changes and contribute to improvements in efficiency and throughput. Address quality and production issues promptly, implementing corrective actions in real-time. Maintain accurate process documentation and adhere to established standards. Promote a clean, safe, and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols. Qualifications Required Skills Proven experience in setting molds and optimizing injection molding processes. Comprehensive understanding of resins and processing fundamentals. Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on troubleshooting skills. Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting and continuous improvement methodologies. Preferred Skills 2+ years of experience in injection molding. Experience with 3-axis robotics/programming. Familiarity with Injection Molding Machines (Van Dorn, Engel, Milacron, Sumitomo, Toshiba, Toyo). Commitment to continuous learning and adaptation to evolving technologies.
