Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Full Time Bookkeeper, with experience, to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will manage the day-to-day financial record-keeping processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Your expertise will support our organization's financial health by maintaining precise records, reconciling accounts, and preparing essential financial reports. Responsibilities Maintain accurate general ledger accounting by recording journal entries, processing accounts payable and receivable, and performing account analysis. Conduct bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations regularly to ensure financial accuracy. Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks and Accounting CS platforms for data entry and reporting. Prepare financial reports including income statements, cash flow statements, and other relevant documentation aligned with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Manage payroll processing and ensure compliance with tax regulations and governmental accounting standards. Assist with budgeting processes and provide support for financial planning activities. Perform account reconciliation tasks to verify the accuracy of account balances and identify discrepancies promptly. Support internal audits by preparing necessary documentation and ensuring adherence to internal controls. Qualifications Proven experience in bookkeeping, general ledger accounting, or corporate accounting roles. Strong proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and Accounting CS; experience with public accounting is a plus. Knowledge of GAAP standards, double-entry bookkeeping, and financial concepts related to governmental and non-profit accounting. Skilled in bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliation. Familiarity with accounts payable/receivable processes, payroll management, tax experience, and financial report writing. Ability to perform 10 key typing accurately for data entry tasks. Excellent understanding of debits & credits, general ledger reconciliation, and technical accounting practices. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
